To connect Sonos, simply access the settings of the OHMe app and scroll down to the dedicated section, where you will find the Connect Sonos button.
Clicking the button will open the following screen.
Click the Continue button, then enter your Sonos account credentials.
You need to have created a Sonos account to proceed.
To register an account, go to this page.
Once you have entered your credentials, press Sign In and accept the proposed terms by clicking I Agree.
By doing this, you will authorize OHMe to control your Sonos System.
Once the connection is complete, you can access your Sonos System from the OHMe app. Click the three dots in the top right corner and select Sonos.
The available functions are limited compared to the official app, but now you can use the connection to create scenarios that also include music.
Among the functions we have integrated, the Voice Synthesis feature deserves special mention.
Thanks to the voice synthesis integration, you will be able to convert text messages into voice messages that will be played by the selected Sonos Players.
This feature can also be used in scenarios, such as announcing someone’s arrival at home.
It is possible to play voice messages in response to an event, such as:
opening a door
when the alarm is sounding
when someone rings the doorbell
a button has been pressed
and many others
The playback of voice messages in response to events is currently configurable only by a technician. Contact your installer to learn more.
